scarlet vixen A dreary and contemplative flood of emotions. Favorite track: Approaching the outer limits of our solar system.

Liam This is probably the most unique album the Caretaker has ever made, not just because it's a soundtrack but because of how well each track goes with it's given name. It even achieves a sense of eeriness from the songs that no other album does.
It's not my favourite Caretaker album, but it's definitely one of the best. Highly recommended listen from me. Favorite track: Approaching the outer limits of our solar system.

pixelperfectbc This is the Caretaker’s musical style in its barest form. No existential theme. No bold experimental soundscapes. Just some simple musical loops with static, reverb, and some extra effects to add some character. Melancholic, nostalgic, and calming. Favorite track: Increasingly absorbed in his own World.

about

The Caretaker returns with a long-in-the-making soundtrack to acclaimed filmmaker Grant Gee's documentary about German writer WG Sebald. 'Patience (After Sebald)' is a multi-layered film essay on landscape, art, history, life and loss - an exploration of the work and influence of German writer WG Sebald (1944-2001), told via a long walk through coastal East Anglia tracking his most famous book 'The Rings Of Saturn'. The source material for 'Patience' was sourced from Franz Schubert's 1827 piece 'Winterreise' and subjected to his perplexing processes, smudging and rubbing isolated fragments into a dust-caked haze of plangent keys, strangely resolved loops and de-pitched vocals which recede from view as eerily as they appear.
